An open-source project by the BOP Alliance.
We're the BOP Alliance, a network of Odoo partners. Odoo grew out of open source, and that is what brought us to it. Not the product first, but the way it is built.
Code you can read and change, and a community that fills the gaps instead of waiting for a vendor. Someone in another country has usually hit your problem already and published what they did.
The projects vary. Everything in Odoo for some customers, their own systems connected for others, across manufacturing, wholesale and services. All of them eventually need something the software doesn't do yet, and that is when the open code matters. We write it, and the customer has it.
Write to whoever fits your question. The repo is public and so are we.
Then AI became something companies actually needed. What arrived was one AI solution per product, each seeing only what that product holds.
So the quote gets written in the CRM and has to reach the ERP somehow. Sometimes a person retypes it. Sometimes there is an interface someone built and now maintains. Either way it is one connection for one pair of systems, and there is a new pair every time.
That changed the question we had spent years answering. Not how to connect software to software. How to connect the agents. Passing a field between two databases is well understood. Letting an agent act across systems means answering three things: what it is allowed to touch, who signs off when there is risk, and where the record of what happened lives.
For years we wrote one connection at a time. This system to that system, this field to that field. oc8 is the same work, generalized, and pointed at agents instead of data syncs.
An agent in oc8 isn't tied to one application. It reaches the ERP, the CRM, the file store and the accounting system in the same run, because all of them speak one open protocol. You set what each agent may touch. You decide which actions wait for a person. The log stays with you. You pick the model.
Open source, self-hostable, and possible to leave. The same reasons we picked Odoo in the first place.
Open-source core, self-hostable - inspect it, fork it, or leave, any time.
Your data stays yours. Use any AI model and any system - including sovereign European ones.
AI agents do the work; you orchestrate - with permissions, approvals and full audit trails.
Co-developed in the open with partners, developers and the community.
Run it yourself, build on it, or follow along while we get there - you're welcome either way.
